Finn (Cory Monteith), Rachel (Lea Michelle), Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) return to television in the first of nine new episodes of the musical drama-comedy Glee.

Today marks the return of what Gleeks everywhere have been waiting for: the final nine episodes of the first season of the hit new show, Glee.

America’s favorite Glee Club not only took home a trophy from sectionals, the group was recently honored by the Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild and People’s Choice awards. The much anticipated return promises all the heart and glitter that captivated viewers all over the world last fall.

Celebrity fans gave their support and contributions to the production of the upcoming episodes. Madonna granted access to her song catalogue for an episode devoted to the Material Girl, which will include “Borderline/Open Your Heart,” “4 Minutes” and “Like A Prayer.”

The Madonna episode will not only feature Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester) in the Queen of Pop’s  infamous cone-shaped bra, but also a performance of the song “Vogue”. Similarly, Naya Rivera (Santana) will be giving her first leading performance with “Like a Prayer”.

A Lady Gaga episode is to feature performances of “Bad Romance” and “Poker Face.” The episode would not be complete without the entire Glee Club wearing costumes tailored by Gaga’s actual designing company, Haus of Gaga.

The cast will be joined by famous Broadway veterans, including a return performance by Kristin Chenoweth as April Rhodes.

Cheonweth’s Wicked castmate, Indina Menzel, will have a role throughout the season as the director of Vocal Adrenaline, the New Directions’ rival show choir. Jonathan Groff, who worked with Lea Michelle (Rachel) and Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) on the original Broadway cast of Spring Awakening, will play the Vocal Adrenaline lead and the Romeo to Rachel’s Juliet – at least for the moment.Groff’s  character, Jesse St. James, is first introduced in a duet with Rachel during tonight’s premiere episode, entitled “Hell-O.”

Other celebrity additions to come in May include Neil Patrick Harris, who will play Bryan Adam, an anti-arts-funding board member and former rival of Will Schuester (Tony nominee Matthew Morrison). Audiences can expect the pair to sing duets by both Aerosmith and Billy Joel. Molly Shannon also joins the cast as Brenda Castle, the new astronomy teacher and badminton coach at McKinley High School.

Gleeks, it’s time to sing it from the hilltops  – a phenomenal version of The Beatles’ “Hello, Goodbye” featured in tonight’s premiere that is. Glee returns with twists, turns, music and choreography that no one will want to miss.
