Back on campus, people congratulate women tennis players, but for the most part they go back to a regular routine of classes and practice to prepare for the NCAA regional tournament.

The nationally ranked women's tennis team won the Sun Belt Conference tournament defeating No. 1 ranked South Alabama in the finals and ending South Alabama's consecutive winning streak.

"It felt great winning because me and my whole team have been working hard all year and it is starting to pay off," said Suzana Maksovic. "It was a wonderful accomplishment for us but we have still more to accomplish by doing well in NCAA Nationals."

For Maksovic, it was all about being confident and taking it one match at a time. However, not everyone was so confident.

"Throughout the tournament I was always a little nervous because I wanted us to do so well and I knew that we could win if we played well," said Rachel Sackmaster.

Sackmaster, a freshman, was named the tournaments most outstanding player.
