Fanatical coaches inspire the finest out of their team

Everyone who has ever played a sport deserves to have a coach who is absolutely nuts.

And because negotiations between the Denver Nuggets and George Karl went well, these players are going to get their chance.

As described by the media and many others alike, Karl is kind of a wacko.

We see those pictures of him screaming at officials after a call and he is not just screaming, he's right in their face using every ounce of energy he has to overturn the call.

Besides, he's at an age when most people think about retiring.

He's not in the best shape and yet he comes within breathing distance of his players and certainly doesn't hold his opinion back.

While some might frown on the idea of playing for such an intense character, it is probably just the thing the Nuggets need.

Once we get beyond the yelling and screaming, we see a passionate coach who only wants the best for his players.

He has taken teams from the bottom of the standings to contend for an NBA championship and if that involves a little yelling then that is obviously what needs to be done.

It is not like Karl is the only hyper coach in the world of coaching.

If you saw the Duke versus Maryland basketball game last week, then you know it was one of the biggest upsets so far this year in college basketball.

Unranked Maryland took the lead about half way through the second half and never looked back to beat No. 2 Duke.

At the helm of Maryland is a man named Gary Williams who other coaches and sportswriters have termed "Wacko."

Sportswriter Rick Reilly said last year in a column during March Madness that "Gary Williams is ADHD boy on Red Bull."

Williams is intense, passionate and wants to win.

He's also hilarious to watch during the game as he constantly paces up and down the sideline of the court, fidgeting with his tie, crouching, jumping and flailing his arms like an octopus playing the drums.
