Broken arm
On Sunday, May 7, at 2:42 a.m., a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in parking lot C when he observed a DU student breaking a gate arm. The officer contacted the student and issued him a citation for vandalism. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Fire water
On Saturday, May 6, at 3:15 a.m., a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in parking lot C when he heard a fire alarm sounding and observed a small puddle of water near a fire alarm system valve. The Denver Fire Department was summoned. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown tampered with fire alarm system. Maintenance was requested to drain the water and reset the system. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Flooded alarm
On Sunday, May 7, at 3:30 a.m., Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown removed a cap from a stand pipe and flooded the fire alarm system with water. Facilities Management was requested to drain the water. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Lacrosse mishap
On Sunday, May 7, at 5:13 a.m., a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol near Johnson-McFarlane Hall when he observed broken glass. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown broke the glass of the north entrance door and the study hall door. A Resident Assistant reported the damage was caused by a lacrosse ball. Facilities Management was notified. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Stolen phone
On Sunday, May 7, at 12:40 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student left her cellular phone unattended in the lobby at 11 a.m. When she returned to retrieve the phone approximately five minutes later, she discovered it was missing. The student was advised she could file a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
