Unidentified odor
On Thursday, April 19, at 9:03 p.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an unidentified odor at Centennial Halls. The building was evacuated, and the Denver Fire Department used fans to remove the odor from the building. The Denver Fire Department suspected pepper spray was the cause of the odor. No injuries were reported. Risk Management will be notified.
Unwanted advances
On Thursday, April 19, at 2:50 p.m. a DU student reported harassment at the Boettcher Center. The student reported another DU student was making unwanted advances toward her and wanted to document the incident. Campus Safety completed a report.
DU parking pass stolen
On Friday, April 20, at 9:44 p.m. a DU student reported a theft in the 1900 block of East Iliff Avenue. A Campus Safety report revealed the student parked his unsecured vehicle at 5 p.m. When he returned to the vehicle at 8:50 p.m., he discovered his DU parking pass was missing. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Car tires and rims stolen
On Friday, April 20, at 4:37 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft in parking lot 123 near the Cavalier apartments. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student parked his personal vehicle in the lot on April 19. When he returned at 4:30 p.m. on April 20, he discovered all four tires and rims were missing from the vehicle. The student filed a report with the Denver Police Department. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Students throw Frisbees at parked cars
On Friday, April 20, at 7:07 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance in parking lot 111 near La Chateau apartments. An on-scene investigation revealed four unidentified males were drinking and throwing Frisbees at parked vehicles. Campus Safety attempted to question the males and they fled the scene. Campus Safety confiscated 35 unopened alcohol containers and completed a report.
