Muse fans enjoyed a clear, warm fall night last week Tuesday at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre for the band's highly anticipated return to the Denver.

Meanwhile, opening bands Immigrant and Juliette and the Licks showed heart and talent, but were unable to excite the crowd that anxiously awaited headliners Muse.

And Muse delivered with extravagant lighting and an amazing stage presence, Muse's performance impressed fans, as if the music alone wasn't enough.

Muse's front man Matt Bellamy delivered angelic falsettos, piano arrangements and amazing guitar solos. The wide range of talent he brings to the band demonstrates why he is the face of Muse.

However, the supporting cast is also excellent. Bassist Chris Wolstenholme and drummer Dominic Howard are an integral part of the band. Muse's show showcases the talents of each band member, although Bellamy tends to occupy the spotlight.

Winning praise from Justin Timberlake and The Killers, it's obvious to see why these big names in music are just as avid Muse fans as those in attendance at Red Rocks.

Muse played a range of music from all four of the band's albums, pleasing new and old fans alike.

Opening with the radio hit "Knights of Cydonia," from the band's most recent album, Black Holes and Revelations, Muse weaved in songs ranging from the newest, "Supermassive Black Hole" and "Starlight," to tracks on previous albums like "Butterflies and Hurricanes," "Sunburn," and "Time is Running Out." Muse finally ended the show with "Plug in Baby."

Of course, this was only the first ending, as the crowd pleaded for an encore. For the encore, Muse chose "Take a Bow" and "Stockholm Syndrome"

in an incredible show-stopping finale.
