The Undergraduate Student Government (USG) reviewed appeals for student organizations last week, granting nine organizations additional funds in an executive session that was closed to the Clarion and visiting students.

For the 2010-2011 academic year, $186,611 was distributed among 66 organizations.
Of those, only 35 received the full amount of money they requested.

According to USG President Pro Tempore, Javier Ogaz, allocations are determined based on the amount the organization spent the previous year and specific initiatives that directly benefit the student body.

All organizations that appealed received additional funding. The complete list of organizations funded and their allocations can be found at DUClarion.com.
