Swimming & diving teams rank high academically

The athletes of DU’s swimming and diving teams are being recognized for their efforts outside the pool.

The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams recently received academic All-America team honors for their performance in the classroom during fall quarter 2008 from the College Swim Coaches Association of America.

The women’s team placed in the superior academic category with a team GPA of 3.564 and the men’s team finished in the excellent category with a 3.187 team GPA.

The women’s team finished the season at No. 3 in the nation, while the men’s team finished ranked No. 13.
